Moving Beyond the Frame @ MEDITECH LIVE 2024

Healthcare technology is constantly evolving, and so is the conversation about how organizations evolve with it.

MEDITECH LIVE 2024, Sept. 25 to 27 in Foxborough, Mass., brings together executives and thought leaders from healthcare, technology, and business for impactful discussions about the current and future state of medical technology and how it can elevate patient care.

Our theme is “The Picture of Health: Moving Beyond the Frame,” where we’ll explore how today’s healthcare innovators are improving the care journey through a focus on more team and less work; delivering personalized care more efficiently; integrating AI into their clinical workflows to reduce documentation fatigue and speed up decision making; and ensuring equitable access to care.

Breakout sessions and panel discussions will cover topics such as AI, EHR usability, innovative care models, and genomics, among many others.  

We’re excited to welcome all of the speakers and presenters who will talk about where healthcare IT is making the biggest impact today and what that holds for the future, including: 

• Zack Kass, AI Futurist, consultant, and the Former Head of Go To Market for OpenAI. This year’s keynote speaker, Zack recently joined the MEDITECH Podcast to explain how he aims to demystify artificial intelligence to make it more accessible and understandable, and helps business and government leaders to be active participants in the AI-powered future. 
• John Halamka, MD, MS, President, Mayo Clinic Platform. John leads a portfolio of platform businesses focused on transforming healthcare by leveraging artificial intelligence, connected healthcare devices, and a network of trusted partners. John will lead a conversation on innovation in healthcare. 

• Farhana Alarakhiya, Chief Data Innovation Officer at Aga Khan University. Farhana coordinates Aga Khan University Hospital’s integration of new EHR solutions with leading edge technologies to drive impactful change for marginalized communities in Africa and Southeast Asia, and will discuss how to best use data as a strategic asset to improve healthcare. 
• Kurt Barwis, President and CEO, Bristol Health. With more than three decades of experience in healthcare, consulting, and entrepreneurship, Kurt will offer innovative approaches to leverage data, practical ways to mitigate harm caused by authorization delays, and effective strategies to optimize patient-centered care.

And it wouldn’t be MEDITECH LIVE without an opportunity to meet socially and unwind — this year’s customer event, The MEDITECH Huddle, will be held at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.
