George Kondylis, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Lawrence General Hospital

Dr. Kondylis is a board-certified emergency physician at Lawrence General Hospital. Dr. Kondylis graduated from Boston University, attended medical school at Wake Forest University, and finished his Emergency Medicine residency at SUNY Syracuse. He has substantial experience both at Lawrence General Hospital and at UMass Medical Center in emergency medicine, emergency management services and air medical transport. He has spent the last 25 years at Lawrence General Hospital. In addition to his role as an emergency physician, Dr. Kondylis has held several key leadership positions within the hospital. Serving as Chief of Emergency Medicine for a significant portion of his tenure, he demonstrated a patient-centered approach to care delivery. He was instrumental in the development of a Pediatric ED, ED ultrasound program, ED observation unit, as well as an Accelerated Care Unit. For the past five years, Dr. Kondylis has served as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this capacity, he has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering strategic collaborations.
