Bryan Bagdasian, MD

Bryan Bagdasian, MD joined MEDITECH in July 2013 as a physician informaticist specializing in standard content and clinical decision support. He supports the implementation of MEDITECH's 6.x platform through the READY and CLPP programs. Prior to joining MEDITECH, Dr. Bagdasian served as the chief of the hospitalist program at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He has more than 20 years' experience as an ABMS board certified physician in internal medicine with a focused practice in hospital medicine, and is a member of the American Association for Physician Leadership and the American Telemedicine Association. He is also among the physicians named to the 2017 Castle Connolly Top Doctors list.

I hear it more and more from my colleagues: They’re feeling burnt out.

Studies of physician satisfaction find that doctors are reducing the number of patients they see, and report feelings of emotional exhaustion, loss of enthusiasm, and depersonalization of patient care. The most recent study by the Physicians Foundation found that nearly half, 49 percent, of the doctors surveyed said they “often or always experience feelings of burn-out [sic].”
