Nurses Week

Many of us are in a different place than spring of 2020, thanks in no small part to the dedication of nurses and other caregivers, who didn’t miss a beat when the world shifted so quickly last year. As we elevate these hardworking individuals this month, and during this extended Year of the Nurse, I wanted to share three recent blogs from our nursing community.

Using a vaccine workflow in the fight against COVID-19
Stephania Fregeau, BSN, RN, Clinical Informaticist at Northwestern Medical Center

After many months of working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, nurses are now administering long-awaited vaccines. Using clear EHR workflows makes a difference when doing so much under pressure. Stephania Fregeau, BSN, RN, Clinical Informaticist at Northwestern Medical Center, shares how a unified plan across an organization can lead to a smoother vaccine rollout.

How nurses can move forward with mobility [Infographic]
Pamela Crandall, MS, CCC/SLP, Senior Marketing Solutions Manager, MEDITECH

In recent years, and perhaps exacerbated by the pandemic, nurses are facing increasingly high levels of burnout. More and more, we are seeing our customers achieving higher nurse satisfaction rates through mobility. Last year, a Black Book survey of 3,000 hospital nurses ranked MEDITECH as the #1 EHR for nurse functionality and usability. Pamela Crandall, MS, CCC/SLP, Senior Marketing Solutions Manager here at MEDITECH, shares how a strong mobile strategy can lead to higher satisfaction and reduce burnout.

4 strategies for enabling more efficient, safer, quieter nursing at the point of care
Jureza Moselina, MSN/INF, BSN, RN, Director of Clinical Informatics, at Val Verde Medical Regional Center

Mobility is a critical answer to decreasing the cognitive burden on nurses, and there is a lot to consider when trying to keep your nurses on the move. Jureza Moselina, MSN/INF, BSN, RN, is the Director of Clinical Informatics at Val Verde Medical Regional Center in Del Rio Center in Del Rio, TX. In a recent blog, Moselina described being inspired by the success of King’s Daughters Medical Center, and how Val Verde chose to move forward with Expanse Point of Care. She offers four different angles to think about when pursuing a mobile nursing solution.

You’ll be able to hear about all of these topics, and so much more, at our virtual 2021 Nurse Forum, June 16th - 18th. We have a lot of hard work to celebrate, and I hope you will join us.
