MEDITECH’s 2023 Home Care Symposium is shaping up to be precisely what our customers have asked us for. The three-day event will feature industry thought leaders, customer successes, and insight into what is coming next for our home health and hospice customers.

Kicking off day one with our focus on innovation, our keynote will be Lindsay Doak, MBA, Director of Research, BerryDunn. Lindsay will walk you through a national study sponsored by industry-leading home care organizations. Her focus will be showing what best practices agencies have implemented to respond to industry changes. Topics will include staffing and leadership challenges, clinician workflow recommendations, the role of technology, and more.

The remainder of day one will feature customer presentations from Holyoke Visiting Nurse Association, Inc., & Hospice Life Care, sharing the agency’s unique workflows and processes and from Boone County Hospital on strategies to excel during the agency survey process. In addition to the customer presentations, the team from MEDITECH, heavily influenced by customer contributions, will discuss the benefits of third-party interfaces.

Day two promises a theme of optimization that will be sparked with a keynote presentation from Cindy Krafft with K&K Health Care Solutions. Cindy will connect multiple approaches to care and provide agencies with the tools needed to achieve positive patient outcomes in the Value-Based Purchasing program. She will also cover the requirements of the HHVBP program while highlighting the importance of maintenance therapy, nursing management, and evaluation.

MEDITECH Client Services promises to deliver in the remainder of day two by showing opportunities to utilize existing Home Care tools to get the most out of your system. The team will revisit common dictionaries and settings which impact your clinicians' workflows, as well as your agency's clinical and financial performance. The day will wrap up by showcasing new functionality in the Authorize Payer task and tips on optimizing your authorizations process.

Day three’s theme will be enhancement and kick off with a peek at some exciting new functionality in our 2.8 release and a presentation from a 2.8 early adopter, Stillwater Medical Home Health Services. The presentation from Stillwater will share new documentation functionality, offer workflow and setup recommendations, and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the early adopter process. Day three will conclude with an in-depth look at a new PMP Agency Summary report, which provides data and comparison for gross revenue, adjustments, and payments posted, and MEDITECH Circle, the new intuitive group of support tools built to simplify our customers’ experience.

These three days will deliver educational content designed to innovate, optimize, and enhance your current environment. You will come away from the experience with comfort in knowing that we understand your challenges and plan on facing them with you side by side.
